We are a full-service boutique interior design firm specializing in all elements of design, from one room re-design projects, to new builds, and renovations. We are here for you each and every step of the way throughout your design process. Two members of our staff will meet and work with you to create a personal design for your home, providing you with a fail proof, step by step plan of how to implement the overall vision. You will have a personal designer as well as access to the rest of the team to take care of you throughout every phase of your project. Here is an overview of how the process works:
Step 1: Contact
Get in touch! Contact us via dropping by the store, a phone call to one of our designers, or sending us an email, let us know your vision and where you stand with your current project. This initial conversation helps us to know what you need from us! We will take it from there and set up an in house visit so we can assess the scope of the project. We’ll go over your project and desired budget, the design process, our fees, and any other questions or concerns you may have.
Step 2: In Home Visit
Two of us will meet with you at your home or site to review your current interior and discuss what changes and additions you have been considering. If your project is a full home renovation or new build, we will bring our architect so she can add to the discussion and help you draw up additional plans, or tweak and fine tune your original plans. After our “walk through” we talk about your home life, your family, and your day to day activities so we can see how you spend your time. This helps us to create the environment that best suits your lifestyle. A budget will also be set so we know where to focus our time and energy with sourcing and product selection.
Step 3: Design Plan & Presentation
We create a custom DESIGN PLAN for your home. This plan incorporates items we agreed to use from your home, new furnishings, layouts, paint color selection, fabric options, finishes, everything you will need to see the project through to completion. You will receive a hard copy of the plan, as well as fabric memos, paint swatches, and cost of each and every item. At this point, the design is tweaked and/or approved into a final design plan.
Step 4: Implementation
Once you approve the design, we ACT! All furniture, fabric, and lighting is ordered through Lagniappe Interiors. We work with outside vendors for tile, granite, wood, and finishes to complete your new build, room re-design, or renovation. We coordinate with you on when individual workers will need items in hand so not to delay construction or installation dates.
Step 5: Installation and Completion
That special day arrives and you see all the pieces of the puzzle come together. Everything is installed, furniture is delivered, curtains and pictures are hung, pillows are fluffed, and beds are made! And of course, a room isn’t completed until it’s accessorized with your personal items that make your house a home. The end result is a lovely home that is “uniquely yours” plus has a “little something extra” from the Lagniappe team.
